A Livingston Parish Sheriff's lieutenant and his wife are both in custody after being charged with creating child pornography, video voyeurism and first-degree rape.
Dennis and Cynthia Perkins were arrested after Louisiana State Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the possible possession and distribution of child pornography.
Dennis, who was in charge of special operations for the LPSO, faces 60 counts of production of pornography involving a juvenile under the age of 13 among others.
Cynthia, who worked as a school teacher at Westside Junior High School, was also charged with 60 counts of production of pornography involving a juvenile under the age of 13 as well as two counts of first degree rape.
