Two seventh graders are facing charges after bringing an unloaded gun to school.
Police say an anonymous student at Westdale Middle School told a school administrator that a 14-year-old student was carrying a gun in their backpack.
When the administrator discovered the gun, the student then claimed the firearm belonged to another 13-year-old student who claimed he took it from home.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's office says both students are being charged with illegally carrying a firearm on school property and firearm free zone.
