A suspect is in custody following a shooting that left one person dead and another in the hospital.
Authorities say they arrested Chavis Duncan Jr. after responding to a homicide around 9:15 a.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of Ray Weiland Drive in Baker.
The 26-year-old Baton Rouge-native was arrested and charged with felon in possession of a firearm, intimidation of a witness and aggravated assault.
The shooting is still under investigation.
