Baton Rouge Postal Service Worker Indicted For Dumping Mail

A U.S. Postal Service worker is being indicted for allegedly dumping people's mail she was supposed to deliver.

Court documents reveal Judith Hughes dumped more than 100 pieces of mail in a trash container beginning in March of this year.

At the time, Hughes was a city carrier assistant at the Old Hammond Station Post Office in Baton Rouge.

Her responsibilities included collecting, sorting and delivering mail to postal customers on her routes.

She's charged with obstruction of mail.
