Parish officials say mosquito samples taken from the O'Neal Lane/I-12 area in East Baton Rouge tested positive for West Nile virus.
EBR Mosquito Abatement conducted an aerial spray mission over that area last night.
Residents are urged to take precautions against mosquito bites, including using insect repellent, wearing long sleeves and pants, and dumping any standing water around your home.
