Baton Rouge Police are investigating a Monday morning shooting in the 5300 block of Corporate Boulevard as an apparent attempted murder/suicide.
The 53-year-old female victim, said to be an employee of Lamar Advertising, was approached by 56-year-old Vincent Parker. The two knew each other, and a fight broke out between Parker and the victim that led to the female being shot.
She drove herself to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
Parker was found shortly before 8 a.m. in the 300 block of Rivercrest Drive with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.
Lamar Advertising announced they would be closed for the day following the incident.
