The National Hurricane Center is continuing to watch for potential tropical development in the Gulf.
A cold front that has pushed through the area, leaving behind drier air and a break from the humidity, is expected to eventually stall in the northern Gulf.
Forecasters expect a broad area of low pressure could develop along the frontal boundary tonight and possible development is possible as it moves in the Gulf.
As of Wednesday morning, the chances of that happening over the next five days remain low.
