The Louisiana Supreme Court is ruling that substance abuse allegations against a fraternity pledge who died in a hazing incident can be used in court
Matthew Naquin, 21, is accused of negligent homicide in the 2017 hazing death of 18-year-old Maxwell Gruver.
On Saturday, the state's High Court ruled that Naquin's defense team can present what they say is evidence of Gruver's alleged excessive drinking and marijuana use leading up to the hazing incident.
Today, the jury selection begins in the case.
