An investigation is underway into a police chase that reportedly left 12 vehicles, including two 18-wheelers, damaged near Baton Rouge.
State police say the pursuit yesterday afternoon began in the capital city when a vehicle took off from an attempted traffic stop.
It finally ended on I-10 West near the Acadian Thruway exit with the driver of the fleeing vehicle in custody.
No serious injuries were reported.
The suspect was identifed as 20-year-old Elias Smallsreed of Zachary.
