Baton Rouge area companies may be hiring laid-off Georgia-Pacific employees.
Over 600 workers will be laid off in Port Hudson as Georgia-Pacific downsizes operations. But, the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance Executive Director says those affected by lay-offs could find work with other industry leaders.
She says ExxonMobil, Occidental Petroleum Corporation, and SNF Flopam are among those hiring.
