East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome is vowing to carry on with her earlier promise of "peace, prosperity and progress" in the capital city region.
She delivered her second State of the City speech yesterday at the Rotary Club.
Among other things, Broome's goals are to reduce blight, improve the area's infrastructure and hike police officers' pay and that of city-parish employees.
