Her campaign says that Metro Councilwoman Denise Amoroso has amassed enough signatures to seek election to her late husband's former seat.
Buddy Amoroso was killed last year when his bicycle was struck by a vehicle.
The council appointed Amoroso's widow to the seat afterwards, but now she'll seek voter approval of her during a March 30th special election to fill the District 8 post. She has no known opposition.
