State police say a Baton Rouge woman is dead, losing her battle to stay alive after a Christmas Day single-vehicle crash in East Feliciana Parish.
Troopers say 47-year-old Darla Silvio was severely injured when the pickup truck veered off of LA-964 and crashed into a tree.
Investigators say she was wearing a seatbelt and that she died Saturday while being treated at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
