A Romanian national who pleaded guilty earlier is headed to prison for his role in an ATM card skimming conspiracy in the Baton Rouge area.
A judge yesterday ordered 38-year-old Alexandru-Nicusor Nita to serve two years in a federal prison and pay just under $150,000 in restitution.
He was convicted of conspiring to commit bank fraud. Authorities say the devices installed captured the financial information of hundreds of customers.
