A Baton Rouge casino begins moving forward on a project to give its smoking customers a place to legally light up and for it to address a drop in earnings.
BusinessReport.com says that construction of a new outdoor smoking area will begin Monday at L'Auberge Casino. It's a multi-million-dollar, 4,200 sq. ft. terrace-like addition that will be fully open on the river side.
The design is said to comply with state law that bans smoking in bars and casinos, but can accommodate up to 100 slot machines.
