A West Baton Rouge Parish grand jury could get the alleged excessive force case involving two now-former Brusly police officers as early as next week.
They both resigned after video surfaced of their encounter with a 14-year-old Brusly Middle School student who was arrested in October. It appears to show the two officers at separate times slamming the teen around prior to him being taken into custody.
Louisiana State Police wrapped up its investigation into the matter late last week, and that was followed by a March for Justice last night to the Brusly Town Hall by those who are seeking accountability and transparency in the case.
