Hurricane Oscar To Continue Moving Through Atlantic

Hurricane Oscar remains no threat to land as it gets ready to make a move from the central Atlantic Ocean.

After moving west-northwest over the last few days, Oscar's forward movement slows Monday ahead of an expected term to the northeast.

The National Hurricane Center says Oscar could strengthen a bit more through Tuesday before gradual weakening through the week.

Oscar is expected to transition into a post-tropical or extratropical system by Thursday.

The NHC adds tropical development is not expected over the next five days in other parts of the Atlantic, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico.

The 2018 Atlantic hurricane season ends November 30th.
