There will be no walkout on Halloween of hundreds of people who work for the East Baton Rouge Parish school system.
A vote was held Tuesday night approving of the action to protest school property tax exemptions for ExxonMobil.
Those involved in the walkout were planning to stage a protest at a meeting of the Board of Commerce and Industry, but since the abatement question has not been placed on the panel's agenda for that day, there will be no walkout on the 31st.
