Slaughter Woman Indicted In Boyfriend's Murder

The case again a Baton Rouge-area woman accused of killing a man she claimed to be married to by poisoning him is moving forward.

An East Baton Rouge Parish jury indicted 50-year-old Meshell Hale of Slaughter Wednesday on a charge of first-degree murder.

Authorities allege that Hale used Barium to fatally poison Damian Skipper who died just over three years ago.

Hale remains under investigation for the 2016 New Orleans death of her husband, 42-year-old Arthur Noflin Jr., who was found burned beyond recognition in the backseat of a pickup truck but said by the coroner to have actually died from barium poisoning also.
