The state Fire Marshal's Office says that a Denham Springs woman is charged with simple arson after they say she admitted to setting her couch on fire to "get the devil out."
Officials say 53-year-old JoLynn Winn was arrested Friday and booked into the Livingston Parish jail. The incident happened August 11th at her trailer home on Arnold Road.
Winn was hospitalized with smoke inhalation.
