The National Hurricane Center said Friday the disorganized showers & thunderstorms are entering an area of unfavorable conditions, giving the wave a near 0% chance of development.
"This system is forecast to move through the Windward Islands on Saturday where it could bring locally heavy rainfall to portions of the area this weekend," the tropical weather outlook concluded.
In the northern Atlantic, Tropical Storm Ernesto continues to hang on, but showing signs the storm would soon become post-tropical. The National Hurricane Center expects that will happen by Friday night.
The NHC adds what's left of Ernesto could bring some locally heavy rains and gusty winds over parts of Ireland and the UK Saturday night into early Sunday.
Tropical development is not expected elsewhere in the Atlantic or Gulf of Mexico over the next five days.
