A Baton Rouge-area home valued at just over a million dollars is a little worse for wear today as the result of damage caused by a lightning strike.
The unkind act of Mother Nature occurred around 4 p.m. Monday during a passing storm, setting the attic ablaze.
Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading much further, though water damaged other areas of the 6,600 sq. ft. home in the Mallard Lakes neighborhood.
