Bishop Robert Muench is expected to be released from Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center today where he was kept overnight for observation.
Reports are that he was overcome by heat Sunday after attending St. Joseph Cathedral for a mass honoring the 50th anniversary of his priestly ordination.
A spokesman for the diocese says the bishop was taken to the hospital as a "precautionary measure."
