Non-stop flights to Orlando and Austin are coming to the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, starting on September 13th.
Florida-based Via Air announced the flights Tuesday.
Flights to Orlando Sanford International Airport will be offered on Mondays and Thursdays. Sanford is Orlando's secondary airport and is farther away from downtown Orlando and theme parks compared to Orlando International Airport.
Flights to Austin will be on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
A special promotional fare of $99 each way is available, though Via Air does charge for checked baggage, starting at $25 for the first bag.
