Subtropical Storm Alberto appears to be zeroing in on the Florida Panhandle.
The National Weather Service predicts the storm will come onshore this afternoon between Panama City and Destin.
As much as a foot of rain could fall in some areas, and Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect for areas along the coast. Isolated tornadoes are also possible along the eastern Panhandle.
