Tomorrow and Sunday might be as good a time as any to stock up on hurricane supplies ahead of the six-month season that begins June 1st.
Louisiana is holding its annual, though partial, state sales tax holiday on many hurricane-related supplies valued up to $1,500 each. You'll have to pay only a 3% state sales tax instead of the current 5% rate.
Local sales taxes will still be collected in full.
