LSU is confirming that a campus cop accused of beating a woman and holding her hostage has been fired.
Samuel Ellis was arrested Monday on charges of second-degree battery and false imprisonment.
The 25-year-old is alleged to have caused extensive damage to the woman's face when he punched her, and then held her against her will for several hours before fleeing the scene.
