The Livingston Parish school system is considering placing a sheriff's deputy at every school for safety.
The superintendent is in talks with the sheriff's office to work out a plan that will put a deputy at all 45 schools. There are currently only seven resource officers at Livingston schools.
The issue will be discussed further at an upcoming school board meeting.
