Vanessa LaFleur Wins State Congressional Seat Vacated By Ted James

Vanessa LaFleur is the winner of Saturday's special election for state representative in the 101st District.

State Rep. Ted James vacated the seat when he took a job in the Small Business Administration.

LaFleur had James's endorsement, and she won with 61% of the vote.

Dawn Collins, another Democrat, had 29% of the vote, and independent Terry Hebert picked up the remaining 10%.
