Governor John Bel Edwards is reacting to damage to levees in Plaquemines Parish following an airboat tour yesterday.

Edwards and Parish President Kirk Lepine surveyed the damage around the Myrtle Grove Marina which was hit hard by flooding.

The tops of the levees saw some damage from the storm surge and Edwards was on hand to witness repair efforts.

Following his tour, the Governor left to inspect areas in the Terrebonne and St. Mary parishes.
