EBR DA Suggests Parents Of 11-Year-old Who Shot Brother Won't Face Charges

The parents of an eleven-year-old boy who allegedly shot his nine-year-old brother likely won't face charges.

District Attorney Hillar Moore says it looks like the shooting was an accident. He added that the gun wasn't secured properly and the eleven-year-old accidentally fired it when he and his brother were playing with it.

The boy was charged with negligent homicide and could remain in prison until he's 18 if he's convicted.
