Court Filings Claim LSU Frat Pledge Regularly Abused Alcohol, Weed

New court filings claim an LSU fraternity pledge who died of alcohol poisoning in 2017 was known for abusing alcohol and marijuana.

Eighteen-year-old Max Gruver of Roswell, Georgia had a blood alcohol level of .495 when he died.

Prosecutors claim several members of Phi Delta Theta forced Gruver to participate in a hazing ritual.

The attorney for one of the defendants claims Gruver's history of alcohol and drug abuse should clear his client of any charges against him.
