Livingston, Ascension Sheriffs Update Theriot Investigation

Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard and Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre provided an update Tuesday in a quintuple killing over the weekend. The suspect, Dakota Theriot, remains in custody in Virginia awaiting a extradition hearing Friday.

During the news conference it was stated that Theriot confessed to killing the five victims and stealing a handgun from his father that was used as a murder weapon. Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said that autopsies showed that the three victims in Livingston Parish were shot one time in the head.
