"Fredo" Cuomo suspended indefinitely from CNN

The brother of the disgraced former New York governor is now a disgraced soon-to-be-former CNN news anchor.

Odds are... he'll be fired.

On Tuesday, CNN host Chris Cuomo was suspended from the outlet following revelations that he had a larger role to play in defending his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, than previously thought.
"The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions," CNN said in a statement on Tuesday, according to The New York Times.
"When Chris admitted to us that he had offered advice to his brother's staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly," the network said. "But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second. However, these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother’s efforts than we previously knew," the statement continued.
"As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation," CNN said.
The younger Cuomo brother was revealed to have asked to be involved with the preparations in his brother's sexual harassment case, and made efforts to track down pending articles from news outlets that were about the allegations against Andrew Cuomo.
In the thousands of pages of new evidence released by New York Attorney General Letitia James, Cuomo was revealed to have been "actively in touch" with his brother's top aide Melissa DeRosa, and gave her full statements to be used by Adnrew Cuomo, as well as leads into his accusers.
"I would – when asked, I would reach out to sources, other journalists, to see if they had heard of anybody else coming out," Cuomo told investigators.
DeRosa had contacted Cuomo at one point to ask him if he could check with his "sources" about a rumor that Politico was working on a story that included additional accusations against his brother.
Twitter users called out Cuomo, saying his suspension does not go far enough, and that he should either be fired, or "resign in disgrace."
