You may have heard about Kanye West performing at Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas over the weekend.
While his performance at the Texas mega church is garnishing a lot of media attention, it's Kanye's other weekend performance that's earning him praise from Texas conservatives.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott said Kanye was "saving one soul at a time" when he performed at Harris County Jail over the weekend.
The Grammy award-winning singer did surprise concert for more than 200 inmates at Harris County jail in Houston, Texas on Saturday.
Abbott praised Kanye for the concert, which left many inmates in tears, by tweeting, "What @kanyewest does to inspire the incarcerated is transformative. Saving one soul at a time."
Abbott added, "Inmates who turn to God may get released earlier b/c of good behavior & may be less likely to commit future crimes. It would be great if other artists followed Kanye’s lead."
