Another woman accused Dem Rep Ellison of abuse

America's first Muslim elected to Congress allegedly has a problem with abusing women.

Old records have resurfaced suggesting a second woman was abused by Minnesota Rep Keith Ellison, the current Deputy Chairman of the Democrat Party, over a decade ago.

He can try to deny this if he wants (and he probably will), but there's a police report to document the alleged incident.

A woman named Amy Alexander claimed Ellison abused her in 2005 while they were in a relationship together.

A police report from the Emergency Communications Historical Online System (ECHOS) claims a woman filed a complaint on May 16th, 2005 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The report reads, "SHE WAS ASLT'D BY ELLISON/KEITH/BLACK MALE/41/WEARING SUIT LS LEAVING APT."

Since Ellison is 55 years old, he would have been 41 in 2005.

A little over a year later, in October 2006, Amy Alexander, a political activist, wrote an op-ed for the Wright County Republican, an independent local print news outlet from Minnesota, titled "Coming out of the dark - Breaking the silence about the anointed candidate."

In the op-ed she details how Ellison had an affair with her while he was still married to his ex-wife, Kim.

She claims in the article that their affair went on for years until 2005 when he came to her apartment and physically attacked her.

On Sunday Ellison was accused of physically attacking and mentally abusing his former lover, Karen Monahan, by her son.

Austin Monahan claims there's a video of Ellison dragging his mother off a bed by her feet while screaming vulgarities at her.

In a video posted to Facebook he claims, "In the middle of 2017, I was using my moms computer trying to download something and I clicked on a file, I found over 100 text and twitters messages and video almost 2 min long that showed Keith Ellison dragging my mama off the bed by her feet, screaming and calling her a “fucking bitch” and telling her to get the fuck out of his house."

Ellison has denied these allegations and claims the video doesn't exist. Karen says otherwise.

Despite the accusations, Ellison was nominated this week to represent the Democrats in the race for Minnesota's Attorney General.

Does this mean Democrats in Minnesota don't mind if their candidates physically assault women?

The answer is unclear but, if so, this is great news for Al Franken, another Democrat from Minnesota who left the Senate earlier this year after multiple women came forward accusing him of groping them. This happened at the height of the #MeToo movement. Al Franken is currently flirting with the idea of getting back into politics, according to recent reports.
