Portland Rioter Set Fire To The Apple Store & Vandalize A Church

No Donald Trump for Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler to blame now so who is he going to point the finger at?

More violent riots in downtown Portland with few arrests.

On Friday, a man was shot & killed during a confrontation with police in Southeast Portland which gave Antifa/BLM another excuse to tear the city up.

Willamette Week reports:

“Protesters who for nearly a year have demanded the defunding or abolition of the Portland Police Bureau responded to the fatal shooting by carving a trail of property destruction through downtown. The spree lasted into Saturday morning. They shattered windows of banks, restaurants and a church, wrote “No More History” on the Oregon Historical Society’s front entrance, and faced off with riot police in streets near the upscale Pioneer Place mall.
They also set fires—in dumpsters, in a portable toilet, and at a construction site outside the Apple Store.
The Apple Store fire burned for over 10 minutes until it seemed to threaten the office building above it. Portland police returned and cleared the streets for a fire truck to extinguish the blaze. Police said no one was injured in the fires.”

A church that serves the poor & homeless was also targeted.

The Oregonian reports:

Members of the group also smashed out the front windows to the nearby First Christian Church, which provides meals and showers to people experiencing homelessness and has long welcomed those who identify as LGBTQ.
Rev. Cynthia McBride said the destruction would impose a financial strain on the church’s social service programs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It is a sad day for the congregation, for members who love this place as a holy refuge and ‘home-base’ for significant service in our community,” McBride, the church’s pastor, told The Oregonian/OregonLive.
“The congregation is committed to racial equity and social justice and will continue to stand with those whose lives have been as shattered and broken as our building’s windows are now.”
