CNN's Jake Tapper Questions The Patriotism Of Disabled Vet/GOP Congressman

Back in September of 2010, Army Staff Sgt Brian Mast was clearing a path in Kandahar, Afghanistan when he stepped on an IED. The blast resulted in the amputation of both his legs and his left hand index finger.

He was awarded a Purple Heart along with a Bronze Star.

In 2016, he was elected to Congress, representing Florida’s 18th Congressional District.

On CNN yesterday, increasingly unhinged Jake Tapper not only insulted Mast but questioned his patriotism.

During the impeachment hearing, Mast asked “Has any one of those individuals who brought violence on this Capitol been brought here to answer whether they did that because of our president?”

Tapper responded, “Congressman Brian Mast... who lost his legs by the way fighting for democracy abroad, although I don't know -- about his commitment to it here in the United States".

Mast responded on twitter to Tapper saying “I lost two legs for @jaketapper's right to say whatever the hell he wants, but that free speech also protects the Republicans he is so eager to condemn for asking Constitutional questions about the election”.

Let’s be honest here, Tapper just confirmed what we know he and other journalists thinks of those rubes who join the military.

Of course, Tapper even doubled down and accused Mast of sedition.
