MSNBC Anchor Says Minneapolis Riot Is “Not Generally Unruly”

Apparently MSNBC Anchor Ali Velshi got the memo from NBC News who ordered them not to use the word “riot” in describing the scene in Minneapolis.

Yesterday, Anchor Craig Melvin tweeted NBC News policy on Minneapolis writing “While the situation on the ground in Minneapolis is fluid, and there has been violence, it is most accurate at this time to describe what is happening there as ‘protests--not riots.’”

Last night as a building burned behind him and throughout the city including a police precinct, Velshi downplayed everything going on to say “I want to be clear on how I characterize this. This is mostly a protest. It is not generally speaking unruly."

Mostly a protest according to Him.

“...not generally...unruly”.

“mostly a protest”
