Utility companies Entergy and Cleco are canceling planned rolling power outages as electricity grids are stabilized.
On Tuesday, parts of Louisiana were expected to experience temporary blackouts until midnight as the energy providers worked to protect the grid's stability. Most of the blackouts were canceled before midnight, according to officials.
Customers are asked to continue to conserve energy by delaying washing clothes or dishes, cooking on low settings, and preventing warmed air from escaping the home.
