The tropics continue to keep forecasters at the National Hurricane Center on their toes.
The NHC is monitoring showers associated with a broad area of low pressure about 1,000 miles east of the Windward Islands that could move through favorable environmental conditions for development over the next few days.
Forecasters are giving a high chance of a tropical depression or tropical storm developing. If that latter occurs, it would be named Isaias.
Heavy rains are possible for parts of the Leeward Islands by late Wednesday, regardless of development, says the NHC.
