Superdome To Take Coronavirus Precautions

With football season on the horizon, officials are already making moves to ensure the safety of players and fans of the sport against the coronavirus.

On Thursday, the NFL announced that all stadiums, including the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, will be mandated to cover its first eight rows to protect coaches, players and other staff from COVID-19.

In a statement, Saints Vice President of Communications Greg Bensel they have already begun reaching out to season ticket holders to accommodate and relocate them.

Bensel also said they will offer a number of fans options for the 2020 season including a refund or credit and it will not impact their season ticket holder status moving forward.

The NFL plans to begin training camps in July.
