Indian Man Wants to Sue His Parents for Giving Birth to Him

A man in India plans to take the childhood lamentation of "I never asked to be born" to a whole new level by suing his parents for giving birth to him without his consent! Mumbai resident Raphael Samuel reportedly announced his bizarre legal pursuit last week. Explaining that he is part of a growing movement known as 'anti-natalism,' the young man contends that it was fundamentally unfair of parents to bring children into the world without their permission.

While one might expect that Samuel's proposed lawsuit is the result of some kind of dispute within his family, he actually says that he loves his parents and that they have a great relationship. However, he argues, "they had me for their joy and their pleasure" rather than his own. To that end, Samuel groused that being born cruelly forces an individual to endure the stresses of life, such as going to school and finding a career.
