Funeral arrangements are pending for Jerry Stovall, the accomplished LSU football player, coach, and athletic administrator.
Stovall died Monday at the age of 85.
He was a unanimous All-American player for the Tigers in 1962, after which he played nine NFL seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals.
Stovall returned to LSU as an assistant coach under Charles McClendon, and was named head coach in 1980. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
