District Attorney Hillar Moore says he plans to seek the death penalty for the accused killer of a Baton Rouge police officer.

Sergeant Caleb Eisworth died on Sunday in a Baton Rouge hospital.

Eisworth was injured in June when a Baton Rouge man deliberately rammed into his police motorcycle on Greenwell Springs Road as Eisworth headed home from a shift.

Gad Black was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder. Moore says that charge will be upgraded to first-degree murder.
