The Louisiana Department of Revenue is no longer printing and mailing copies of the state sales tax return to Louisiana businesses.

The cost-cutting measure starts this month, and is expected to save taxpayers more than $100,000 a year in printing and mailing costs.

Businesses can now file and pay their sales taxes electronically, either through the Louisiana Taxpayer Access Point or through Parish E-File.

They can also download a printed copy of the state sales tax return from the Department of Revenue's web site.
