Attorneys general from 18 states are supporting a Louisiana law that requires public schools to post the Ten Commandments in all classrooms.

The attorneys general have filed documents with the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals expressing support.

A federal judge in Baton Rouge has declared the law unconstitutional. The 5th Circuit last month declined to set aside the ruling prior to oral arguments next month.

The 18 states are Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia.
