Republican Jeff Landry avoided a runoff by winning the Louisiana Governor primary Saturday night.
"This state is my family, and we are going to work to fix this state," Landry told supporters after the race was called.
Landry ended the night well ahead of his closest competitor, former DOTD secretary and Democrat Shawn Wilson.
