Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty for a man accused of killing a state trooper and a woman in October.
Investigators say 31-year-old Matthew Mire shot a man and a woman in Prairieville on October 9. Both victims were hospitalized, and 37-year-old Pamela Adair died.
Mire then reportedly killed Master Trooper Adam Gaubert not far from the first shooting.
An Ascension Parish grand jury indicted Mire on two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, and other charges.
Mire has pleaded not guilty.
