COVID-19 Latest In Louisiana: 442 Cases, 14 Deaths Reported Tuesday

The Louisiana Department of Health reported 442 COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths Tuesday.

The total number of cases and deaths stood at 450,279 and 10,255 respectively.

Hospitalizations increased by 22 to 330 with 49 patients on ventilators, five more than Monday.

LDH also announced Tuesday it would "temporarily pause" use of the coronavirus vaccine manufactured by Johnson & Johnson after federal agencies recommended suspending use of the vaccine following reports of six women in the U.S. suffering rare blood clots.

Louisiana will continue using the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
